ZEPHYRHILLS SHUFFLEBOARD CLUB
Because of the popularity of shuffleboard, especially from the 30’s to the 60’s, not only were images of shuffleboard players being displayed in several advertisements but many shuffleboard clubs, City courts, and motel courts were exhibited on postcards as well.

Posted below is a sampling of Florida postcards, but I found  many more shuffleboard cards from several  States and Countries including: Arizona, Michigan, New York, California, New Jersey, Ohio, Minnesota, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Indiana, Canada and even Guadalajara Mexico.

St. Petersburg’s  Mirror Lake courts easily had the most images (15 or more) depicted on postcards.
Zephyrhills courts had at least three cards printed.

Unfortunately, many of the great municipal shuffleboard venues have disappeared, but we still have these old photos and postcards to remind us how shuffleboard was in past decades. Enjoy!
